Forums, blogs and communities create a kind of collective memory for shoppers. If a piece of jewelry keeps its color and does not irritate the skin, I consider it a win. For coats and blazers I usually go one size up if I want to layer sweaters under them.

Even a short note like 鈥渢his size runs smaller than expected鈥?can help someone. They are simply the ones that fit well and survive many rounds of washing or daily use. If anyone has long term experience with certain online shops, I am always curious to read it. A simple and honest answer like 鈥渨e do not have that option鈥?is better than marketing fluff. Good packaging and a small storage bag are also nice touches for accessories. For daily use items I try to balance price, build quality and real user feedback. If tracking never updates for weeks, I start to worry about the order.
